The twins (who still do not have fun blog nick names) are at the point where buttons, noise, and lights catch their attention. This was the perfect stage to introduce the Bright Starts toys to them. I started opening the toys a few weeks before our party, one at a time, to see if the twins were ready for them. I started with the (we received the frog one). I blame this ball with teaching my twins to crawl. They loved this thing. (Yes, I say blame because now I have TWO mobile babies… Yes, they keep me on my toes.) They loved that when they would roll the ball, or shake it, it would giggle or make music. It even says the color and that it is a frog. This was also a hit at the party. I had friends with kids a month younger and a year older than the twins and all of them loved this toy. Heck, The Goof even loved playing with it for a day or so.
The largest of all of our Bright Star toys, this activity station was loaded with things for little ones to do (65 sounds, melodies, lights and phrases, to be exact). The babies loved all the movable parts like the light switch, spinning sun, and puppy that popped up by pressing a doggie bone treat. Whether the babies were sitting or standing, all could easily play with the Bright Starts Learn & Giggle Activity Station. A plastic flip book showed different times of the day and interacted with the various window panes on the toy. Loaded with lots of buttons to press, the kids could hear phrases, shapes, colors, letters, numbers, and object identifications as well as experience cause and effect through their actions. One of the coolest feature was a lever in the shape of a kitty’s paw that kids could press down to see spinning, colorful lights in a fish bowl. The kids also loved moving a ladybug along a track that made clicking sounds across the top of the window sill. Age 6+ months MRSP: $39.99
