Being involved in the motorhome hire business and also loving motorhome holidays, it is no surprise that my daughter wants this Playmobil Camper for Christmas. Even though it was 30 odd quid from Amazon, I think she will get a great deal of play value out of it. I believe her other Playmobil people are already planning their holiday for next year in their Playmobil Camper.
The model here in the picture is the 3647 one which reminds me a bit of the larger Mooveo motorhomes that have the garage at the back. This is the one my daughter has seen in the shops and also in a Playmobil leaflet, but what she doesn't realise is that this is the actual 2009 model. There is a new 2010 version out now, which is white and although she has seen it, she is not impressed. So if your kids want the yellow one, get in there quick! They will be gone by Christmas!
I had a look at the reviews on Amazon before buying...I quite like this one; "I bought this for my little boy for his 4th birthday recently and we all love it! It's our first playmobil item and I was a little skeptical that it could be worth £30 but it has earned every penny of it in the first 2 months alone.
There is stacks of stuff included in it and as ever with playmobil some of it is extremely tiny. I have a 18 month old as well and I do have to watch that none of it goes in her mouth.
The top comes off so they can play with them inside and the attention to detail is amazing -- tiny little holder for mobile phone, pull out shower and tap -- cute little toilet. We also bought the beach set which has been great too and my son can spend ages driving them for a day at the beach, getting the little picnic table and chairs that are stored in the roof box of the camper out for them to have lunch and then maybe a bike ride."
I've looked around for the best prices online and bearing in mind that delivery is free in the UK, Amazon has the best price for the Playmobil Camper.
Initial thoughts: The Playmobil Family Camper set is a typically well-made Playmobil item, including a bright yellow camper van than comes with a family of Playmobil figures, two bicycles, camping furniture and even a little sun canopy in case there’s ever a sunny day – unlikely if the Playmobils are camping anywhere near where we live, but we can hope. The top pops off the van, and there are two doors, so kids can reach everything easily and there’s some great attention to detail – there is loo roll in the bathroom, which I found particularly pleasing.
